Keeping Orchids Alive: The 3 MUST DO’S To Survive

Dear Friend,

A few years ago my friend happy agreed to house-sit my plants while I was away on vacation. To my surprise when I returned my orchids had died! I later realized that a lot of people don’t know how to properly take care of their orchids. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to teach others what I know.

Here are the 3 things you MUST DO to ensure your orchids survive

1. Don’t keep them in direct sunlight! Orchids need light, but not directly. It’s best to keep them in a well lit room, away from any direct sunlight

2. Choose your location wisely! Orchids are creatures of habit. Once they have established their location, they want to stay there. Moving them can cost them their life.

3. Do not over water! Every 8-10 days place the orchid under cold tap water for 10 seconds, or just place 1-2 ice cubs in their pot. Once winter hits, the time between feeding should increase. In the winter, feed them only every 15-20 days!

If you apply these 3 tips you should have orchids that not only survive, but thrive! Plus, you’ll be the envy of all your friends and family.

P.S. If you really want to step it up, put your orchid under a piece of wood. You’ll be impressed by how much more flowers it gives!
